Hi, I’m Lindsey.

And I really do get it.

I was vaguely unwell for most of my childhood years; I was that kid who visited the school nurses’ office more often than not, and this continued to some degree through high school.

Stomach pains, constant weight fluctuations, skin issues that plagued me for most of my teenage years…

It’s hard to recall a time when I ever felt comfortable in my own skin – and no matter how hard I tried to find a solution to these issues, they persisted until my mid-twenties.

Medications, meal plans, new diets, running too many miles…you name it, I tried it. 

But in 2011, after moving to Korea for a job teaching English, I was hit with an exhaustion and pain that quickly became unmanageable.

If Google didn’t beat you to it, you could have convinced me that I had rheumatoid arthritis, along with some other rare, incurable condition that caused people to gain upwards of 10 pounds in one month(!), and develop a skin rash so severe that it caused your little students, who spoke very spotty English, to ask in perfect English: Teacher what’s wrong with your face? 

I knew something had to shift – and funnily enough, it was my life-long habit of journaling that allowed me to see a path to health and healing that no one else was able to show me…
